The music of Sigh is often abbreiviated to simply "Japanese black metal," but anyone who has heard their music, they know that that only begins to describe the sound this band produces.
Imaginary Sonicscape contains references to almost every kind of music at one point or another, but their musical vison is so strong that it forces all of these different components into the razor sharp sound they maintain. Music in general, and metal even more so tends to get bloated the more you add varying styles to it, but Sigh in their omnivorous exuberance, (also shared by many other Japanese bands), is happy to mix in classical music, dub, psychedelic, and even one song that sounds like radio pop interpreted by some frost bearded inhabitant of the cold north (Sunset Song). Either way, Sigh represents the possibilities inherent in the genre of metal given an open mind, (albeit some assistance from certain chemicals.)
